Antony Webb

Managing Director

Career Background

Antony has been in the air conditioning and ventilation industry for 30 years and has worked his way up from an installation engineer to his current role as director.

Responsibilities

Antony is responsible for overseeing the activities of the company and also plays an active role in the sales and design of AC and ventilation systems.

Antony strives to keep the business running smoothly and ensuring that productivity remains high implementing company policies and staying abreast of the changes in the market place and new technologies.

David Benton

Director

Career background

 David has been in the air conditioning and ventilation industry for 15 years and prior to this 16 years as an Electrical engineer. David with the support of the co-Director Antony Webb, has helped grow the business through 14 years of steady growth, to the position it holds in the market place today.

Responsibilities

David is responsible for overseeing the activities of the company and also plays an active role in the sales and design of AC systems.

David along with Antony strives to keep the business running smoothly and takes great pride in providing a quality after sales service to all of Airtemp’s clients which, together with his extensive technical and practical knowledge, has resulted in very long and close business relationships with many of the clients that Airtemp continue to serve.

Ann Human

Finance Manager

Career Background

Ann has had a long and varied career in accounting from Accounts Manager for a chain of hotels during the eighties, to 21 years as Finance Manager at Drusillas Zoo Park Ltd, before joining Airtemp in April 2009.

Responsibilities

Ann has the responsibility for the smooth running of the department within the statutory and regulatory requirements. She also oversees the general day to day administration of the company, maintaining internal procedures and controls to monitor and evaluate our performance, together with timely and accurate production of essential management information.

Ross Perrin

Application Engineer

Career Background

Ross has been in the HVCA business since leaving school and serving an apprenticeship with Haden Young. Specialising in air-conditioning & working for local companies. Ross joined Airtemp in its formative years.

Responsibilities

The designing, pricing & running of contracts from inception to completion. Offering a full turn key on contracts. Knowledge of split systems to large VRF systems & ventilation.

Julia Brown

Estimating & Design Manager

Career background

Julia has over 30 years’ experience in the air conditioning industry. Having run an air conditioning contracting company for 17 years her experience encompasses everything from general company admin & accounts to AC design, application, project management (including the odd installation) through to completion and after sales, as well as running and operating maintenance contracts and teams. Julia has also worked in sales, selling quality equipment such as Mitsubishi Electric and Daikin, achieving top sales status, before returning to contracting.

Responsibilities

As Estimating & Design Manager, Julia is responsible for the overall review, estimating and design process for all air conditioning projects bid along with liaising with customers to progress tenders to contracts.

Paul Smith

Project Manager

Career background

Began working in the HVAC trade in 1995 as an Air conditioning fitters Mate, rose to Fitter within 1 year carrying out installations of split systems, VRV/VRF systems, ventilation and controls, and gained NVQ Level 2 and City and Guilds qualifications, moved to an office role in 2014 as project Manager.

Responsibilities

To manage varying sizes of projects, ensuring that quality standards are maintained, finish dates are met and budgets are kept. Assigning labour to projects, providing technical, design and planning assistance to site engineers and arranging delivery of equipment and materials in a timely fashion to suit the contract programme. Liaising with clients, attending planning meetings and handing over projects at completion.

Steven Tompkins

Assistant Project Manager

Career background

After University I worked for several multinational construction companies as a site engineer and ultimately as a site manager. I have worked within the construction industry in varying capacities for about 10 years. Post economic turn down I retrained as an electrician, ultimately becoming an electrical supervisor.

Responsibilities

Steve works closely with Paul in overseeing the safe and smooth installation of Air Conditioning systems. Steve liaises with both engineers and clients in order to generate a friendly, but above all, safe working environment.

Megan Carter

Estimating & Design Trainee

Career background

This is the start of Megan’s career. Having left college in June 2017, Megan started her apprenticeship at Airtemp.

Responsibilities

Megan works alongside Julia Brown & Antony Webb, learning all about designing and estimating air conditioning to produce tenders for our customers.

Chris Luck

Service and Maintenance Manager

Career Background

Chris has worked in the air conditioning industry for 17 years, for the past 10 within the service department at Airtemp working his way up to Division Manager.

Responsibilities

Chris oversees all aspects of the Service Divisions activities with specific responsibility for Network Rail.

Chris works to keep the department running efficiently and maintaining the high levels of service provided to all customers as well as ensuring effective integration where necessary with the other departments within Airtemp.

Tom Osborn

Commercial Service and Maintenance Manager

Career background

Tom had a 6 year career in the British Army (The Queens Royal Hussars) including a 7 month operational tour in Iraq on the frontline. Undertaking many challenges with a high risk and under pressure. Leaving the Army in 2011 to build a family Tom started a career in key account management, sale coordinating and materials planning, moving to Airtemp AC Ltd in September 2015.

Responsibilities

Tom is responsible for both the expansion of and day to day running of the busy commercial service and maintenance department, covering all planned preventative maintenance and reactive works.

Samantha Skinner

Service Administrator

Career background

Samantha has worked in administration roles for the past 13 years, latterly in logistics and service administration.

Responsibilities

Samantha is primarily responsible for the day to day running of the Network Rail service contracts, although crosses over in to other customer areas as and when required.

Samantha works closely with both clients and engineers ensuring the smooth running of PPM contracts, reactive works and prompt attendance to emergency breakdowns.

Laura Harrison

Service Administrator

Career background

Laura has over 12 years’ experience working in customer service, and has worked as a service administrator with Airtemp since 2016.

Responsibilities

Laura is primarily responsible for the day to day running of the commercial service contracts.

Laura works closely with both clients and engineers ensuring the smooth running of PPM contracts, reactive works and prompt attendance to emergency breakdowns.

Dean Fox

Senior Ducting Project Manager

Career background

Dean started his ventilation ductwork project management career approx. 15 years ago starting off as a trainee ductwork draughtsman before moving into project management. He has extensive knowledge of all aspects and styles of ductwork ranging from domestic flat duct to large commercial plantrooms.

Responsibilities

Dean has the responsibility of overseeing ductwork projects from both tender stage and secured projects through to completion; this involves resourcing all materials and labour, overseeing drawing production to final accounts.

Len Hutton

Senior Ductwork Project Manager

Career background

Len started in the ductwork industry in 1981 as a trainee draughtsman For Amberley Engineering of Hastings, then moved to the estimating department for a 3 year period. A large part of his career (23 years) was spent at Abbey Sheetmetal of Hailsham as project manager and then Contracts manager leading the projects team.

Responsibilities

His responsibilities at Airtemp are to project manage varied size contracts, producing cad drawings, variation accounts and contract cost control.

Connor Sams

Junior Project Manager

Career background

Connor started off as an apprentice project manager for Airtemp AC in 2015. He has now become a junior project manager/ draftsman for the ductwork department and continues to grow his skills and his role at Airtemp.

Responsibilities

Connor has the responsibilities of assisting in the running of projects varying in sizes on a day to day basis. He also is responsible for producing working drawings for Airtemp’s on site engineers.

Sylvia Baker

Finance Officer

Career background

Sylvia has had a long and varied career spanning 14 years in accounting from Accounts Assistants to Sales and Purchase Ledger.

Responsibilities

Sylvia assists the financial manager, she deals with all aspects of sales and purchase ledger including credit checks and references, liaising with customers and main contractors, aged debtor analysis and credit control, dealing with invoice queries or disputes. Sylvia also deals with all new Sub-Contractors, verifying them with HMRC. She is also responsible for preparing purchase ledger and sub-contractor payments.

Vanessa Green

Operations Officer

Career background

Vanessa has worked in a variety of different office management positions ranging from retail, business and manufacturing. Vanessa has joined Airtemp in November 2017 as Operations Officer.

Responsibilities

Vanessa ensures all aspects of Airtemp’s operations are well organised and maintained. This includes anything from company accreditations, industry affiliations, health and safety, staff training/qualifications and fleet management.

Mark Bourner

Stores Manager

Career background

Mark has had a long career in retail and buying from large blue chip companies to small local retail outlets, and has spent over 30 years meeting customer expectations before joining Airtemp in November 2017.

Responsibilities

Mark is responsible for the smooth running of the stores making sure it is fully stocked with the right products to facilitate a check an effective response for our customers. Mark is also responsible for buying products that suit the needs of the business and to monitor prices and quality in an ever changing market.
